Cuisinart Coffee Grinder - Cuisinart Supreme Grind DBM-8
Electric Burr Grinder
There is no question that the popular coffee houses often charge a bit too much for a cup of coffee.
In order to save, more and more are turning to coffee grinders to grind their own beans. At the same time, they can
be sure that the coffee that they are about to drink is indeed fresh. Cuisinart has its own line of coffee
grinders, both the blades and electric burr variety. There is the DCG-20N and DCG-12BC for the electric blade type
and there is also the Cuisinart 10576 for the electric burr grinder. Also joining the ranks of electric burr
grinders is the Cuisinart Supreme Grind DBM-8 Electric Burr Grinder.
The Cuisinart Supreme Grind DBM-8 Electric Burr Grinder is an efficient and easy to use machine. It measures 11
x 7 x 6 inches (HWL). It is available in a stylish and elegant design of black and silver. The stainless steel is
brush, accentuated by the black trims.
The DBM-8 comes with an 8-ounce container for the coffee beans. This container automatically sends the beans
into the DBM-8s burr grinding plates. From the grinding plates, the ground beans are deposited in a removable
chamber. The whole beans container and grind chamber both have removable lids, making it easy to pour in the coffee
beans and pour out the ground ones. On the other hand, the container for the ground coffee does not have any
measurement markings whatsoever, and you would have to rely with the scoop that comes included in the package.
You have 18 grind settings to choose from – Fine grind, medium grind for drip and even coarse for French
presses. It even has a slide dial to let you decide how many cups of coffee you will be making. You can choose as
low as 4 cups and go by two’s all the way to 18 cups of coffee. Once you have everything set, just press the power
bar and the DBM-8 springs into action. It works fast, though you might notice immediately that it is not a quite
machine. Also, there are times when the DBM-8 does not grind the beans fine enough for use with espresso machines.
If you are planning to use this for your everyday cup of espresso, you might want to look at a better performing
model. Nonetheless, the DBM-8 has enough power to be able to grind coffee beans that will suit your needs.
